Discover

Market research and design briefs revealed a desire from luxury homeowners for cooktops that balanced performance of gas and visually discrete—equipment that looked as elegant as it cooked proficiently. Wolf’s dual-stacked burners and minimalist footprint were a natural foundation for innovation, yet gaps remained in usability, styling options, and seamless integration.

Project goals included:

  • A sleek, visually integrated appearance suitable for high-end residential interiors.

  • Culinary precision from full-power heat to ultra-low simmer.

  • Easy maintenance and cleaning on a surface that hugs countertops.

  • Customization options for finishes and controls to coordinate with diverse kitchen aesthetics.

  • Finish variety and detail ensuring each element—from knob color to bezel tone—can be personalized within a cohesive, luxurious ensemble.

Wolf

Contemporary Gas Cook Top

Wolf Appliances, part of Sub‑Zero Group, aims to offer professional-grade performance in a contemporary aesthetic well-suited for luxury residential kitchens. The Wolf Contemporary Gas Cooktop (36″, model CG365C/S) delivers high heat and precise control through five burners with sealed, dual-stacked design—all wrapped in a minimalist, flush-mounted stainless-steel profile. Recognizing the opportunity to elevate both form and function, our designers collaborated with Wolf to refine the user interface, materials, and integrated appearance of this signature cooktop.

Key Design Features:

  • Dual‑Stacked Sealed Burners: Each burner runs from a powerful 20,000 BTU upper tier down to a delicate, breath-level flame—perfect for simmering sauces or melting chocolate—with automatic spark re-ignition to ensure safe operation.

  • Flush‑Mount Minimalism: Illuminated, front-facing control knobs and continuous cast-iron grates create a clean-lined aesthetic that integrates seamlessly with countertops while offering effortless pot navigation.  The flushness means that the functionality of the counter surface is not interrupted by the cooktop.

  • Spill‑Controlling Burner Pans: Sealed, seamless stainless steel pans contain spills and simplify cleanup, maintaining the cooktop’s polished appearance and hygienic performance.

  • Custom Knob Options: While red knobs are Wolf’s signature, users can choose black, stainless, brushed brass, or gun-metal gray finishes to match overall kitchen styling—an expression of Wolf’s enduring design language.

  • Professional-Grade Reliability: Engineered to meet the discerning expectations of the luxury appliance customer.

The ground-breaking Wolf Contemporary Gas Cooktop merges professional cooking capability with design-forward aesthetic—an appliance that speaks to both performance and presentation. With the thoughtful contributions of our talented designers, this cooktop became a meticulously engineered centerpiece: reliable, refined, and ready for both culinary artistry and interior sophistication.
